Jessica Sehested Mark, LMBT

Jessica Sehested Mark, a member of the Society of Ortho-Bionomy International and one of only 200 certified Ortho-Bionomy practioners worldwide, has a private practice in Asheville, N.C.  She received her certification from the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in 2006.  Trained as a dancer since the age of four, Jessica is grateful to be able to bring her lifelong passion for body awareness to a bodywork modality that blends awareness, movement, and listening to the body’s own healing wisdom so beautifully together.  She works diligently with her clients to find the healing path that is best for them and welcomes the diversity of that path for each individual.

Jessica also brings to her practice her skills as a Pilates instructor and somatic educator.  She received her Pilates certification from the Kane School of Core Integration, and Polarity Therapy certification from the Open Center, both in New York City.  Jessica has also studied anatomy with Irene Dowd, Gyrokinesis, and Body Mind Centering.  She received her B.A. in Dance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1999.  She is happily married to Rich, and the proud mama of delightful and energetic toddler Sydney.
